West Coast Trail - Advance Backpacking Course

Hike the West Coast Trail during the most ideal time of the year, prime weather but just ahead of the Summer crowds. The end of June is the ideal time to do this iconic hike. While most other guided trips offer 7-days, I feel that with the option of 9-days we get the treat of being able to slow down. With that, the ability to enjoy the hidden gems and get out of the flow of the rest of the hikers. Although the start date is firm, the ability to exit the trail sooner is always an option and will depend on the groups needs and wants.

Included in the trip is multiple pre-trip planning sessions, guidance on meal planning and packing, trail permits & a knowledgeable guide and outdoor educator. Some backpacking experience is required and all participants need to pass a vibe check! Fun trails deserve a fun attitude!

5-Days New Moon in Manning Park - Advance Backpacking Course
July 21 to 25, 2025

Manning Park offers some of the most amazing night time star gazing opportunities. Light pollution from Vancouver is minimal in this part of British Columbia, with almost nothing for a wide radius including huge Wilderness Areas just South of the Border. And for this week in July the stars are truly aligned, with a new moon on July 24 there's minimal light to block out stars, in addition, it's just three weeks prior to the peak of the Perseids Meteor Shower. Not only will we travel through huge swaths of EC Manning Provincial Park but our journey will see us hike through parts of the neighbouring Skagit River Provincial Park.
